Disciplinary Matters

Every coach, player and parent is required to sign a club Code of Conduct at time of
registration. It is important that proper standards of behaviour are maintained and
every player, manager, coach, supporter, parent must be aware that their actions will
reflect on the good name of the club.

The club will not hesitate to action against any person whose actions bring the club
into disrepute, including sanctions of removing their registration, suspension, or
exclusion from watching home games either temporarily or permanently.

Each team manager shall be responsible for disciplining players, and taking such
action as is deemed necessary regarding adult volunteers and supporters in matters of
a more minor nature. For other than minor infringements the case should be referred
by the team manager to the club Secretary, who will decide what action needs to be
taken, including referring the matter to the club Executive Committee or the club
Welfare Officer as deemed appropriate. There shall be a right of appeal against any
disciplinary decision to the club Executive Committee.

If a player/ manager/ coach/ supporter is cautioned or sent off or a report is submitted
by the referee to the County FA regarding the conduct of that person, then it is the
responsibility of the club secretary to respond. If necessary, the person who is the
subject of the report may be asked to prepare a written report for the secretary to
submit in evidence in an appeal. Any appeal against a decision of the league or Herts
FA MUST be made ONLY by the club secretary.

Every player/ manager/ coach is responsible for the payment of any fine incurred by
their actions, and failure to do so may result in their suspension by the club. Players
and managers/coaches who refuse to pay fines may no longer play or be involved in
running a team for the club, and the Secretary shall notify the Herts FA accordingly so
that they cannot play for any other affiliated club until the fine is paid.

If a team manager believes that the conduct of players or adult volunteers/ supporters
of another team is totally unacceptable, a low sporting mark should be entered on the
result card and a full report should be made to the club secretary , who will decide
what further action should be taken in consultation with the club chairman. The team
manager must NOT send a report direct to the league or County FA.
