⚽ Letchworth Eagles Summer Tournament – 13–15 June 2025

Our flagship Summer Tournament returned with a bang from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2025, welcoming over 250 teams to Pixmore Playing Fields for one of the largest grassroots football events in the region.

With packed fixtures, buzzing crowds, and incredible support across the three days, it was a true celebration of youth football and community spirit — and our biggest tournament to date.

📅 Tournament Schedule

This annual summer football festival followed our familiar three-day format:

🟦 Friday Evening (13th June)

  • U15 & U16 Boys
  • U15 & U16 Girls

⚫ Saturday (14th June)

  • Boys: U7 Minors (players aged 6+), U7 to U14
  • Girls: U10 to U14

🔵 Sunday (15th June)

  • Continuation of the Boys: U6–U14 and Girls: U10–U14 fixtures across different pools and groups

(Please note: To be eligible for U6 (U7 Minors), players had to be aged 6 before 15th June 2025.)

🙌 A True Football Festival

With matches running across multiple pitches, and thousands of players, coaches, parents and spectators in attendance, the atmosphere across the weekend was electric.

Off the pitch, visitors enjoyed:

  • Food stalls and ice cream
  • Music
  • Clubhouse bar
  • A friendly, welcoming environment for teams from all over the country

💬 A Moment of Unity

The Friday night was marked by an unfortunate injury to Michael Curtin, a Stevenage Borough Juniors U16 player. The response from players, coaches, and spectators was a powerful show of support — and it reminded us what community football is truly about. The club has run a fundraising campaign to support Michael’s recovery, with thanks to everyone who contributed.

🏆 Thank You

From first-time U6 players to seasoned U16s, every team brought passion, respect, and sportsmanship. A huge thank you to all the volunteers, referees, coaches, supporters, and sponsors who made the event run like clockwork.

We’re already planning for Summer Tournament 2026 — and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
